Vesa was the 1st native born Finn to graduate from West Point, I was blessed to know him and his family during his teenage years and until his death in 1968. He was a remarkable young man who gave 100% in everything he did. His father, Olavi was a Mannerheimin Medal winner from WWII in Finland, his medal number is the same as Vesa's place in the Class of 63. The family gave all to the principles of freedom. |
