Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Maggie on March 6, 2006:

God Bless you all for keeping Ben in your hearts as the years pass... I know he is listening. When Ben walked into a room, there came some magic with him. Anyone who met him (even briefly) knows what I am talking about. You couldn't help but smile around Ben. Remembering his infectious "silliness" has allowed me to smile over the past years. In the worst of times, Ben always found the perfect way to ease my pain, and he still does to this day. I remember him telling me how lucky we were to have a second honeymoon in an ?exotic land? (Iraq) when I hadn?t showered for 21 days and became very homesick. He told me I never looked better, and he meant it. Ben endured all the hardships of war (in addition to consoling an irritated wife) and still found a way to enjoy every day. I may not be certain of much? but one thing I know is that Ben would (somehow) convince me that he is doing great and things couldn?t be better!

My wonderful Ben, I love you so much and you are forever in my heart!
