The following dedication has been published on page xiii of the new book, Oil and Terrorism in the New Gulf: Framing U.S. Energy and Security Policies for the Gulf of Guinea (Rowman & Littlefield, 2006):

We wish to dedicate this volume to Second Lieutenant Englebert Eric Mbog-Hob. An international exchange student from Cameroon, Eric graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 2004 and inspired us with his genuine desire, commitment, and ability to make a difference along the lines of the topics addressed in this volume. Tragically, Eric?s life was cut short, and the Gulf of Guinea will miss the impact of his hard work and leadership.
