Captain Weikel was not only my troop commander, he became my friend and role model of a soldier, husband, and father through months of working for him. I was his driver and never a day went by that he didn't amaze me with his knowledge and leadership abilities. He always knew what was going on and what to do in any situation and made us laugh and smile in the process. He had a voice of power and authority without being obtrusive. I have never met a better leader and it was an honor and pleasure to work for him and with him. My thoughts are with Wendy and Jonathon every day and I will never forget him and everything he taught me. PFC Aneweer,James Ghost 6 Delta |
