I had the honor of being in the same company as Ian during Beast Barracks and throughout our first two years in H-4 Hogs. Ian had such a better perspective on life at West Point than most. He worked very hard and took Army life seriously, while never taking himself seriously. More than anything I remember his smile. He had a way of putting everyone at ease and making everyone feel special. And no one could walk into a Comm's hour meeting and crack us all up faster than Ian. There was also no one you could count on more. We'll miss you tremendously, Ian. Wendy, I wish you and Jonathan peace. Love, Megan Scanlon USMA 1997 |
