Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Fulton Recepcion on May 23, 2006:

I knew Dan in high school. We were both Naval Sea Cadets and Army JROTC cadets. We weren't close buddies, but Dan had a personality everyone or anyone could get along with. So I was saddened when I heard of his passing, which I heard only recently.

I ran into a HS buddy and fellow soldier who told me of his passing. I really didn't believe it until I came to this site.

I last saw Dan the day we graduated from HS, 20 June 1990. We shook hands and went our separate ways, him going to the Point and me going to Marine Corps Boot Camp. I told him, "I'll see you when I see you!" I was hoping that would be during my two military careers (USMC and USAR) or during my present one with PEO Soldier.

Well Dan, it looks like, I'll still, "See you when I see you," but in the next life.

Rest In Peace buddy.

Semper Fidelis
