I shared a couple classes with Ian and was project partners with him a few times. He took his class work at West Point seriously and always did more than his fair share of the work. Not once was he ever the "Boodlers Guy" responsible for nothing more than getting food from Boodlers for the rest of the group. He also was just fun to be around and had a great sense of humor. He was very good at making everyone laugh but also at taking charge and getting the job done. I remember how he was always very calm, even when we were down to the wire to get our projects done. He was also very modest and seemed to always have on his contagious smile. Ian was just a genuinely all around GOOD GUY. My thoughts and prayers reach out to Ian's family.
