I really can not remember how or why I knew Billy, if ever so slightly. We weren't in the same company or even the same regiment, but somehow our paths crossed a number of times. What I do remember, very clearly, is that to me, he was someone to be admired. Did I know him well - no. But in a group of some of the nations best and brightest, he was one of a small number that stood head and shoulder above us all. Almost 40 years too late, but never the less, Rest In Peace.
