Be Thou At Peace

Posted by MAJ Bill Willis III on May 19, 2006:

I met Bill when we were both 10 years old at Fort Leavenworth, KS. We stayed in touch through high school in Huntsville, AL and I kept up on what was going on with him through my parents who stay in touch with Bill's. I am sad that I did not personally stay in touch more as he was a special and unique person who made a tremendous impact on all who knew him. I also serve in the Army and have a family who has seen me through multiple deployments in harm's way so our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and children. I was able to see his mother Nancy when she visited friends in Belgium where I am stationed now and really enjoyed seeing her again. I want to pass my condolences to his family and tell my brother-in-arms goodbye...Rest In Peace Bill, I'll see you again on the high ground.
