Mrs. Smith and Dana, we just wanted you to know that we are flying our flag this Memorial Day weekend in honor of KJ. We knew KJ when he played for the West Point soccer team for three years; our son was the 'other' Kevin Smith on the team, so we got to spend a good bit of time with KJ when we flew out to West Point for games. I can honestly say KJ was one of the finest men we have met in our lives. His commitment to his military career was extraordinary; I cannot express the high regard I had for the way he handled himself. On a personal level, we enjoyed his company so much; he made our time visiting at West Point such fun when we had time to spend with him. Everyone felt the same way, everyone. Memorial Day is not the only day we will keep his memory in our hearts. Scott and Barbara Smith |
