Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Barbara A. Noyes on June 4, 2006:

I wish to extend my sincerest appreciation to Doug for serving our country so unselfishly. He gave the ultimate so that others might live a better life.

I attended today's "celebration" of Doug's life and am happy to have been fortunate to be present not only as someone who has known Doug and his family for many, many years, but also as someone who has a deep appreciation for all who serve our great nation through military service.

The throngs of attendees were impressive, but so much so, that it was difficult to find all the immediate family members to express my condolensces. I wish to take this avenue to do that.

Doug was a very special person who made a positive impact on so many people. May God be with you all and help you as you deal with your loss.
