I have known Art Scalise since September, 1947 when he joined Cadet Company C-2 at West Point. We have been close friends ever since. We attended the Infantry Basic Course together, Airborne School, and several years later we were both assigned to the 11th Airborne Div. I also have great memories of enjoying a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner with Art and his family at their quarters in Germany. Art faithfully attended most of our class reunions as the years went by, the most recent being our 55th, in April, 2006, just 9 weeks before his death. We will all miss you, old friend. Well Done.
