| Henry was one of the first ones I met way back in 1947, as he was one of my roomates in Beast Barracks. We suffered through that ordeal together and became fast friends throughout our four years in "Easy One" and beyond. Although not in the same service after graduation, we did bump into each other while stationed in the DC area and at class reunions. "Hank" was a model cadet, taking part both in athletics (lacrosse) and the more mentally challenging Debate Club. He was popular and friendly with everyone, and I doubt there was anyone in our class who did not know and respect Hank for what and who he was. |
