| Pete Matthews was one of my "Beast Barracks" roommates along with Hank Evans. We huffed and puffed our way through that trauma and came out in good style. Pete moved over to 2nd Reg and became a stalwart over there. He always had a sense of dry humor that gave the impression that "he didn't care". But he did! He was pretty much within himself and confident of who he was and what he could do. He didn't let the system nor the academics rule his life, but had his own ideas of where and how he was going. A good solid citizen, he will be missed but not forgotten. |
