| "The Long Gray Line has never failed us. Would it to do so, a million ghosts in olive drab, in brown khaki, in blue and gray, would rise from their white crosses thundering those magic words 'Duty, Honor, Country'." Emily now sadly stands in the first rank of fallen soldiers, alongside General MacArthur, ready to inspire us all to follow the West Point creed of service to our nation and the world--and win the cause. She has raised the bar for others to follow. I am compelled to salute her brief and valuable life. |
