Be Thou At Peace
Posted by CPT George Coan III on September 20, 2006:
I never knew Emily or her family. I am a fellow MSC officer who recently logged onto the MSC Website and came across the tragic news. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, friends, colleagues, and Soldiers who knew Emily.
Emily, you served your family, friends, West Point, the Army, and the country faithfully and to the best of your abilities....I can tell that by reading other eulogies. If everyone was just a little bit more like you, the world would be a better place.
"So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad." Colossians 5:9-10
Emily, your rewards in Heaven are great. Well done, good and faithful servant. The Lord is well pleased.
I want to live a life like yours....more pleasing to the Lord. Thank you for inspiring me.
May God give your family peace and restoration.
Blessings, George
