Be Thou At Peace
Posted by 2LT Stevenson on October 4, 2006:
I did not know LT Emily Perez, but read of her passing in the Stars and Stripes here in Korea and while visiting the MSC website, read about her life and the many lives she touched. I felt compelled to say/write something.
To Emily, well done faithful servant. You enjoyed life, inspired others and gave of yourself unselfishly. You will be greatly missed.
To The Perez family, Words may not comfort you during this time but please know that Emily is now at home with her father and although she is not physically with you she will forever remain in your hearts. Her spirit will continue to live thru the many lives that she has touched and the many she has inspired. She is and will continue to be loved by many. We thank you for raising such a wonderful person and for allowing her to be apart of our lives.
The Army and the Medical Service Corp has lost a great Warrior, Leader, Officer and Soldier. The world has lost a great human being with great strength, pride and character, but we have all gained a Guardian Angel named Emily Jazmin Tatum Perez.
Thank you for serving and above all thank you for allowing us to get to know you and for inspiring us.
God Bless and be at peace, JOB WELL DONE!!
