| As I think about my plans for Thanksgiving this year, I automatically think of Dennis. I will forever think of Dennis at Thanksgiving time and cannot help but feel for his family and Marie, as I am sure they will also. Though the wound is still fresh, I try to remember Dennis as I grew to know him so well when Thanksgiving rolled around each of the four years we were together on the team... cursing under his breath at the 8-10,000 yard practices Steve was putting us through, while somehow always being cheerful at the end of his thoughts by reminding us all that tapor was rapidly approaching and we would soon be Beating the Hell out of Navy at both Swimming and Football. I can honestly say without hesitation that Dennis was the nicest most genuine person I have known and I can only do my best to live more like he did every day and try to be a better person. I will always miss you D-Zil. You are remarkable. |
