Youthful Promise Dedicated to Second Lt. Emily J.T. Perez A nation mourns the loss of youthful promise Found in the loss of its young leaders-- A life left behind never to shine. You left behind a trail of mourning In the lives touched by your glory. You gave freely of yourself Only to be lost in the final moments. Some will remember your promise-- Hope to all those who aspire. Some will remember your kindness? Help to all those who struggle. Some will remember your love? Healing to those who hurt.
