I did not know David before Sunday morning when we set out for FOB Hope. But I feel like I've known him for years. He was brave and selfless that day for sure. When volunteers were requested Dave raised his hand fully knowing the risks of what we were going to do that day, which, will forever be the longest day of my life. My prayers are with his family and friends. Rest in peace brother you've pulled more than you're fair share of the load. If I have to search every house in Kamilayah I swear they will know you are missed. 1LT Joseph Meyer |
