I was introduced to Dave through various Houston area guys in our class. What struck me most about him was his compassionate heart. He clearly chose West Point in order to serve, both as a cadet and as an officer, and I believe it is this trait that will be most absorbed by those impacted by his life. Also, Dave chose to put his relationship with God first, something that is not easily done at any point in life. He should and will be remembered for this. Dave, we mourn your death but we also rejoice in knowing that you were not afraid to answer the call. Well done, my friend. Stephen Phillips Class of 2004 |
