Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Adam on December 2, 2006:

I remember Dave from his first day on the X-Country team was always a strong believer. He was a lot better at living out his faith inspite of opposition and a more mature Christian then I was. He challenged me often, if not by his words then his actions. Dave, Seth Chappell and Aaron Reiter accepted me into their Bible study group and helped coach and mentor me along in the faith. Their labor was not in vain (1 Cor 1.58). Though I never told Dave thanks for what he did, I am forever in his debt, as I am sure countless others are. Dave's memory will live on in the lives he led to Christ and everlasting salvation.
Dave fought a good fight, he always finished his course, and I know he kept the faith. In the future there is laid up for him the crown of righteousness, that Jesus Christ, the righteous Judge will award to him on that day, and not only to him, but also to all that love His appearing.[2 Thes 4.7-8]
To the parents: Dave was a son in whom you should be well pleased. Thank you for your faithfulness. He will be missed.
