There just aren't words to express how much Dave means to our class, his track teammates, the Sunday school folks, and the civil engineers. He will be truly missed. I got to see Dave almost every day for two years at school whether it be for a civil class or down at Gillis Field House. He always flashed that great smile and it seemed that nothing ever brought him down. His focus on academics, his faith, running, and his friends inspired everyone around him, including me. I'll never forget that spring break when Dave, Seth, Mary, and I went out for the best redfish dinner I've ever had at Dave's favorite restaurant in Houston, the Topwater Grill. Hope I can make it back there someday for you, Dave. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Be thou at peace. |
