Be Thou At Peace

| It is with many tears that we write this note as we remember all the times we were the beneficiaries of Dave's big smile and warm hugs. We got to know Dave through our son, Jon, when he brought Dave home with him for the Army Navy games and at other times when they wanted to get away from West Point. Jon's grandmother and mother always referred to him as "Dave with the gorgeous blue eyes!" One of the last times we saw him was at Ft. Leonard Wood when they were in OBC together. We went to church and then to lunch, where we all talked about plans for Ranger School and the future. This was a young man of exceptional character and a true man of God. I hope it comforts his family in a small way to know that he touched the lives of so many and was a witness for His Lord in innumerable ways. He will be deeply missed. |
