Dennis was just the best person, friend, & soldier you could ever be lucky enough to meet in your life. I don't know anyone who had as much positive energy, no matter what the circumstances were - nor did I ever meet anyone who loved the Army more than he did. When we used to talk at the prep school, he just couldn't wait to get back into the Army and back into the Engineer Corps he grew up in as an enlisted guy. I knew back then what a great officer he would make, and what a great commander he would be - you could just see it in him. Everyone knew it, too. And he was. Even now, I still can't believe he's gone. We've all lost something immeasurable. We're going to miss you forever, Dennis. Be thou at peace. |
