To Jacob's family, my heart goes out to you for your loss. I was extremely touched by Jacob when we were plebes together through mutual friends. I remember that he was always smiling and seldom down about anything. Based on what I see in the articles, Fritz continued to do that as a leader and was admired by his Soldiers.
