| Brain and I were in the same WP Company as plebes and yearlings. He always had a infectious positive attitude even during the most difficult of times. I ran into him at Fort Bragg last spring, a couple months before he was about to deploy and he caught me up on the last nearly 10 years of his life--his wonderful wife and children, bobsledding, his civilian job and his call-up from the IRR. He was staying in the old WWII barracks at Fort Bragg and I promised to have him over for dinner to meet my wife and kids and relax a bit. We both got busy and I missed the opportunity. I regret that. His loss is a great loss for his family, the Army, the country and all of us. Brian, we will miss you. |
