Be Thou At Peace

Posted by REO on May 2, 2000:

Paul was an extraordinary man. He was also a good guy and a true friend. He was loved by all. Everyone wanted to be around him. Paul was my friend. We went through a lot together. He shaved my head once. He had a great laugh. His feet were really flat. Did you ever see his footprints when he got out of a pool?

He was such a proud father. He used to stop by my house with Nick and Luke when he was driving around town on weekend afternoons. He loved Tricia with all his heart and was very happy with his life. He will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched.

Paul is still with us everyday, everywhere. I truly believe that.
I believe that I am a better person for having been his friend. I believe we are all lucky for the time we spent with him. I believe his loss was a tragedy. I believe his life had a purpose. I believe he fulfilled his destiny. I believe that the good die young. I believe the good die old and middle aged as well. I believe in God and in Heaven and that Paul is there now. I believe I will see him again one day. I BELIEVE!
