Brian Scott Freeman

West Point, 1999

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Summer Multer (Perkins) on March 21, 2007:

I entered West Point with Brian the summer of 1995. He and I were both from the same area in California--around Bakersfield. I remember meeting him and his family at a BBQ before we flew to New York for R-day. Great smile. Firm handshake. Witty. He was a great guy who seemed to possess a lot of drive, passion, competitiveness, and ability. Although the corps sent us in different directions and I wouldn't say that we were friends--I felt a connection between those of us from the San Joaquin Valley and am deeply saddened by his death. My heart goes out to his wife and children and surviving parents and grandparents. To this day I can see his smile and will remember him always as a military hero who made the ultimate sacrifice.
