Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Jen Harting on April 4, 2007:
Today is Stephen's birthday and in a couple of weeks it will have been 2 years that have passed since he and my husband died together in Iraq. The last 2 years have been very difficult, yet I believe both Stephen and Jay had a plan for us who are left behind. I have had the very honor to become friends with all 3 of his wonderful sisters and his adoring parents. God would have it that I would move right down the road from them. Over the last year and a half all three sisters have been daily babysitters to the three little children I was left behind with. And on numerous occasions, Sue and Bill have cared for them too. What truly beautiful people the Frank family are! Though I only met Stephen once, I know he was a great, great man because I know his family's heart from which he was molded and shaped.
Thank you Stephen for bringing your wonderful family into my life to help me cope with the loss of my own husband. Tell Jay I love him still so much. Happy Birthday!
With love, Jen Harting
