Fred and I were roommates. He was quite a character. He enjoyed the outdoors, in fact he frequently cracked the windows in the dead of winter and buried himself under what I remember we called a "Brownboy". On more than one occasion he checked out a jeep and spent the weekend in the wilds Of Buckner, armed with bow and arrows. I know he got a deer and got someone at the Mess Hall to cut it up for him. A favorite saying ( when confronted with idiots ) : ".. overeducated beyond their intelligence... " . Max Young |
