Phil, You are one Man that I knew was a friend from the time I met you as a fresh, naive yearling in D-3. Sure you were a Firstie then, but you saw something in me... Over the year you taught me much about the Academy and the Army - I looked up to you man, sort of like a big brother. The only thing I could offer you was a good solid workout at the gym after sandhurst practice, but you didn't mind becuase it wasn't about quantity or payback to you...Then, after you graduated and deployed I was more than excited for you, and I could tell from your emails that you were confident and happy. It has been an honor to have had the privelage to know you, Phil.
