Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Ben & Sierra Symonette on April 19, 2007:

Phil
Ben and I are so lucky to have known you. It seems like only yesterday that I was home and you were staying upstairs. I felt a lot safer with you there. Thank you for replacing the broken candle glass and grilling meat outside for dinner. I'll never forget waking up in the morning and walking out into the living room to see you reading your bible at the kitchen table. I'll never forget the time when you had a hard time cornering Cheese to put her in the laundry room before you headed to work. You finally chased her down to the sunroom and when you went to pick her up, she hissed at you. You simply pulled down your sleeves as far down past your hands as you could and proceeded to pick up Cheese like you would "a hot plate from the oven." You had such a gentle soul. I remember the morning you left. I remember the card you left on the counter. And I remember smiling at your attempt to clean your room the very best you could before you left. Our house holds a lot of memories and the memory of you will always be there. The memory of you will be with us for the rest of our lives. We're so glad we had you as a friend Phil.
