| I had the pleasure of spending quite a bit of time with Nick during my first several months at West Point as a fellow walk-on to the baseball team. With his prior service and previous college experience, Nick provided me with a mature perspective on a wide variety of topics. As former high school quarterbacks and baseball players, we would share our "glory days" tales while warming up together before practice or sitting aside eachother at the breakfast table. I envied his college stories, questioned him for deciding to leave all that to be a plebe at West Point, and respected him because he was truly an all-around great guy. He was a great baseball player, a great person, and I'm sure a great son. |
