Be Thou At Peace
Posted by CDT CPL Dominick Cinotto on April 25, 2007:
During my time at West Point I have met many people, some who you know will make great Officers and others that will just do their job and get by. Nick was the type of guy that you knew would make a great Officer because he truly cared about people. Nick was in my Company (D-3) and was CDT Bernal's room mate. Because of the systems in place at West Point, me and Nick could not be officially considered friends, but we were. Since me and CDT Bernal are on the football team together we were permitted to hang out and be friends. On weekends I would go down to their room and hang out with them. Through this I got to know Nick and got to see him as a person and not just a "plebe." Nick was the type of person that after a short time of hanging out with him you felt as if you had known him forever. He had a way of making people feel good about themselves and was always ready to help out someone. The world would be a better place if people followed Nick's example.
