I often remember my last email from Kevin when he reminded of the few days left until his return home. Every day, during my commute home from work, my memory reflects on precious moments I spent with him during his 28 years: riding in front of me on my motorcyle, too small & straining to reach the gas pedal with his go kart, his first soccer team (5 yrs. old) the Tampa Bay Bandits, his immense determination and concentration when developing his keeper skills, his pride of West Point Graduation, and buying his first home and totally renovating it with Dana. And, finally, the photo of him with an Iraqi boy. He envisioned a future for this embattled country through its children. Kevin, I think of you every day, and I find comfort in knowing that someday, soon, I will see you again. Love, Dad |
