| Anne and I are saddened by the passing of Pete. At the Academy we were in the same battalion, but were never close. After Graduation Pete went Infantry and I into the Air Force. Our paths crossed again during the Mini cruise to Bermuda in the Spring of 2005. Marie, Pete, Anne and I sat together during the evening meal and had several wonderful conversations about many things. As a result, we felt very close to them. Pete was a gentleman and a fine officer. He obviously was a strong family man given his wonderful relationship with Marie, and the tributes written about him by his daughter, Mary. I feel like I have lost a good friend. He will be sorely missed, but his is a better place with the other departed members of the Long Gray Line where we will meet again. I thank the Lord for the opportunity to have known Pete. |
