Telephone conversations are most trying at difficult times such as these.That has been my experience. A few words on Pat: He loved humor, sometimes impetuously used, humor that tended to include others warmly. He saw qualities and needs in others in a humorous and gentle vein, attracted by qualities over wide ranges, and always inclusive. He had an uncanny talent for seeing the points of view of others.
