Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Elaine Healy on June 13, 2007:

Phillip:
Every day that passes is a sad day because you are no longer with us. My husband Frank Healy and I, (Elaine) had the pleasure of your company for a brief time during your junior year at West Point. Because you were unable to get to Texas on a school break, our son (currently Lt. Sean Healy, deployed in Iraq), your classmate and friend invited you to our home in RI. I must say, it was truly a pleasure to meet such a warm, intelligent and gentle person, such as you. I will never forget how awed you were at the site of the Atlantic ocean and the beauty of the coast of RI, but most of all I will never forget what a gentleman you were and to this day, I still treasure your thank your note following your visit. I was truly impressed with your maturity, wisdom and humility. What a sad day it was when the insanity of war took you from this earth. You are truly missed.
Elaine Healy
