Bill Reynolds is my Godfather. When I said that to his wife by his grave at our 55th reunion, she was surprised. Bill and I were Rabblerousers at West Point; he led cheers in the stadium, I rode the Army Mule. We connected again at Fort Campbell. I was engaged to be married to a Catholic girl, Linda, and Bill served as my sponsor to join the Catholic church. When I was baptized by the Chaplain of the 101 Airborne, Bill was the only other person there, and he became my Godfather. |
