Richard Allen Chilcoat

West Point, 1964

Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Dan Evans on April 2, 2010:

Our sincerest prayers and condolences to the memory of our Leader and Class President Dick Chilcoat.

We were blessed and honored to have Dick Chilcoat serve as our First Captain at West Point and as our Class President after graduation. Dick Chilcoat has stood by us, mentored us, been our friend and has always been there for us. His extraordinary leadership, dynamic character and sound advice were and will continue to be the threads that have and will keep over five hundred graduates of our Class linked together in a bond of brotherhood for a half of a century. What an extraordinary accomplishment and legacy! Thank you Dick!

Dixie, with you by his side, the two of you have contributed so much to the lifeblood of our Class, to West Point and the Army. For this, the Class of 1964 thanks you.

Once again the West Point Class of 1964 offers Dick Chicoat a final salute. May it be said "Well done; Be thou at peace" and "E're may that line of gray, Increase from day to day; Live, serve, and die we pray, West Point for thee."
