Be Thou At Peace
Posted by Laura Triplett on February 6, 2017:
Once upon a time there was a little girl that had the best dad in the whole world. When he would go on his business trips he would bring her ivory from Africa and jewels from Saudi Arabia. When she became older she would ride to work with him to D.C. and he would give her advice about life. Then one day the little girl got married and had a granddaughter that stole his heart. He would push her on the swing, taught her to ride a bike and taught her how to swim. One day the granddaughter noticed the shaking hand that led to the Parkinson's. Parkinson's led him to the fight of his life. With his little girl by his side they went to the gym so he could still go on his travels with the love of his life, enjoy music concerts and drink mugs of beer. Along they way he captured the hearts of many adopted "sons" and "daughters" that gave him laughter and joy during his life. Most importantly, they were all there for him at the end of the story. Thank you all for your love of the best dad in the whole world. Today I will stay strong and make him proud as we make some decisions for all of you to celebrate his wonderful, beautiful life.
