| West Point was a great start to Pete's friendship with me. He patiently influenced me as I wandered to the foot of the Cross. Newly arrived in Cu Chi with 1-502 Infantry in 1967, Pete taught me how to fight in the Cu Chi area. Following the flag sent us to the remote corners of the world, but we sustained and grew our relationship. Sue and I were honored to be Amanda's godparents as she grew into a Christian lady. Pete's ministry after retirement was an example for all Christian warriors. The Corps, Army, and nation are better from Pete Elson's dedication to Duty, Honor, Country. |
