Janet and I had know Wayne & Suzie since, 38 years ago, Wayne and I joined Co F-2 for our last two years at West Point. Although we traveled down different paths after graduation and marriage, we followed Wayne's life over the years, always confident in the knowledge that this quiet, intelligent gentleman, humorous, thoughtful, kind, and competent would succeed in all he touched. It was a sharp shock, therefore, to learn of his sudden passing ... brought on by excessive medication to calm his tremors. As Janet and I have become resigned to our shock, we pray that Suzie and her family will overcome their much deeper loss. Wayne may be gone, but the playful wit in his smile, the quickness of his mind, and his love for family will always burn brightly in our memory. |
