Henri was a unique individual. When I returned to WP for my second trip Henri became my roommate. I'll never forget him pulling out some home made wine from under the room heater, where he had it fermenting. Somehow, he got grapes from the mess hall to our room, and began the process. After a class trip to Benning he had eight of us to his Alabama plantation for his mother's home cooked southern breakfast, He was extremely proud of his father, the Alabama state doctor. Everyone was drawn to his quick wit and "could care less" attitude. I, for one, I'm sure of many, will miss him. Rest in peace, my friend Bruce Hulin |
