Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Mason Thornal on February 7, 2006:

Gary,

Can't begin to try to put into words what you meant to all the boys, and what we owe to you. I'll never forget seeing you sitting your point out on those all-night land nav's, talking to you on those long road marches, the time you accidentally left my Dad on the Sandhurst course my yuk year, and seeing that knowing grin on your face when you checked in on us with MAJ Burrell at SFAS. You are easily the hardest, kindest, brightest and most caring man that any of us will ever have the privilege of knowing. We are all better men for the time we were fortunate enough to spend with you. Rest in Peace Gary, you have earned it. We will never forget you, and we all already miss you. See you on the high ground.

Never Quit Brother,
Mason
