| My sincerest condolences to the Avery family. Gary was a true friend and a great man. I admired him very much. When I think of Gary I remember his kindness, his sincerity, his humility, his ingenuity, and his sense of humor. The example he set as a soldier and as a person is truly inspiring. We are all better people for having known him. |
