Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Deborah Anne Gower on July 1, 2010:

Dad loved all of us with his lowkey sense of humor. When he died, he left my brother and myself and Mom (she died on July 3, 2009). Jeff (USMA 74) and I had twelve children (step, adopted and foster) and twelve grandchildren. He delighted all that he came in contact with. I think he was pleased to have a grandson who is class of '03.

He is missed each and every day in so many ways. He loved art, horticulture and wildlife. We watch the Osprey Eagles and think of him. We see plants he liked to grow and think of him. We were fortunate to have his hand-colored prints of West Point, his oil reproductions and lead soldiers and he is with us.

He is now in the Lord's hands with the knowledge that he impacted the lives of so many in his journey of life.

We miss him dearly and cherish our memories of him each day.
