Be Thou At Peace

Posted by Joe Franklin on June 29, 2013:

Connie and I will carry forever our memories of Quent's deeply felt care for everyone he embraced in his wide circle of friendship. When he spoke to either of us, we knew somehow that we were the only person in his world at that moment. His warm, sincere interest in everyone's happiness and well-being were the hallmark of greatness that he exhibited throughout his wonderfully full life. His devotion to his beautiful family was ever apparent in everything he did. We were among the most fortunate of our classmates to have had a long and close friendship with Quent and Anna, including our ownership together of a ski house in Vail, Colorado, that held joyful memories of our times together. Quent and Anna also honored and graced us with memorable visits to our homes in Washington, DC, and in far Western Maryland. Whenever we received a call that Quent and Anna were coming east, everything turned to the plans we could make to enjoy each other's company. We will treasure forever the warm friendship we shared with Quent, and add our love and most heartfelt "Well done!" to this farewell message to a great, kind, and generous man, and our beloved friend.
