 John Farwell Hotchkiss, Jr. (1931 - 2013) John Farwell Hotchkiss, Jr., of Asheville, died March 5, 2013 in Portland, Oregon. He was 81. John was born on June 28, 1931 in San Francisco, California to John Farwell and Isobel Montana Hotchkiss. He attended Placerville High School in Placerville, California, then West Point Military Academy, graduating in 1955. He married Jerra Ann Downey of Springfield, Missouri later that year. John served in the Air Force as a fighter pilot until 1960, and spent the remainder of his career in the aeronautics industry. He and Jerra retired to Asheville in 1993. John is survived by his daughter, Holland of Iowa City; sons, Jeffrey (Karen) of Portland, Oregon and John (Bophal) of Needham, Massachusetts; and grandsons, Khammeran and Vann. He was preceded in death by his mother; sister, Gloria; father, and wife. |
